1990s--part 10 A

January 1, 2007 / by greatmartin

On February 29, 1996 I celebrated my 15th birthday. I sent out invitations for people to join me at the ZanZbar Restaurant--as the invitation may be hard to read for you older folks (LOL) I have quoted some of it below.
"Death By Dessert"
The menu will consist of homemade African desserts: Milk tart, a whole wheat brownie with expresso chip ice cream, walnut, honey and rum crepes with dark chocolate sauce, a chocolate pecan pie filled as a squirrel's cheeks with sugared nuts, a fabulous 'wildebeest' cake which is a chocolate cake, chocolate chips and fudge icing, the cakes are served in dark puddles of chocolate sauce marked by cream color paw prints, mango orange cream mousse, a 'Kilimanjaro baked-brie volcano' which is a gentle layering of pastry dough and melted brie, the volcano hiding a center of candied walnuts with a peach preserve 'lava' oozing down the mountains----just to name a few---18 DIFFERENT DESSERTS IN ALL!
Also included imported and falvored coffees and teas served with a disc of chocolate.
