"21" is an interesting movie while you are watching it and forgotten
5 minutes later--except, maybe, for trying to figure out some of the
math language involved.
As the movie, except for the veterans
Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne who you have seen in many movies,
the newcomers are interesting to watch while you watch the movie but
are forgotten 5 minutes later.
As in most movies that are based on a true story I wanted them as an epilogue to say what they are doing today.
The
relationship between the professor (Kevin Spacey) and the 5 students,
(Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Aaron Yoo, Liza Lapira and Jacob Pitts)
is a strange one that isn't fully explained nor how Spacey has gotten
away with his scheme at MIT. Did no student turn him down? Didn't any
student report what he was doing?
There are the usual flashy,
trashy scenes that take place in every and any movie that has scenes
take place in Las Vegas while the scenes in Boston are impressive for
their lack flash.
As with all 'caper' movies there are some suspenseful moments, some back stabbing, a sting and, of course, some violence.
The bottom line?? Wait until it comes on DVD or shows on cable.
