"Deliver Us from Evil"---a Movie Review

December 11, 2006 / by greatmartin

This has to be/is one of the most powerful movies I have seen this year if not in a few years.
I defy you not to cry, feel disgust, want to beat a man within an inch of his life, be outraged and, last but not least, to shake your head in wonder that so little is being done!
Your heart will stop when you hear/see a father cry out, and cry, "Molesting? He raped her!"
We are talking about Father Oiiver O'Grady who is living in Ireland a free man with an annuity from the Church in spite of the fact that he molested (raped), abused over 100 children (one as young as 9 months old!!) both boys and girls in California and whose silence was bought by the Church. He is a man who smiles, even laughs as he talks about his victims. He 'thinks' he may have done something wrong but certainly doesn't act it.
The 'man' is pure evil and protected by the Church.
This is not an indictment of the religion but of the men who run it--they lie, cover up, commit perjury, dismiss the victims.
And the victims talk about the abuse and the effects ever after.
THIS IS A MUST SEE FOR ANY PARENT AND/OR ANYONE WHO HAS EVER BEEN A CHILD!

It is saying something about the current Hollywood film making that documentaries and animated films are the most compelling to see these days.
