(Which by the way is the title of one of my fiction books!)
Unfortunately I put a jinx on the ones I want to win--with the exception of Charlize Theron for her portrayal in "Monster" (which I feel is THE best performance EVER given by an actress on screen) and I threatened to never go see/watch a movie again if she didn't win.
Following is my list of who I want to win and who I think will win:
Best Picture: Want to win "Crash"--will probably win "Brokeback Mountain"
Best Actor: want to win Joaquin Phoenix will probably win Philip Seymour Hoffman (I still think Pierce Bronsan should have been nominated instead of Heath Ledger or, at least, he and Jake Gyllenhaal should have switched categories!)
Best Actress want to win Felicity Hoffman will probably win--Reese Witherspoon
Supporting Actor want to win Matt Dillion or George Clooney (not particularly for his performance--just because I like him--hey, why should I be different then the actual voters?) will probably win Paul Giamatti or Jake Gyllenhaal
Supporting Actress no favorite here will win Catherine Keener
Director want to win Paul Haggis for "Crash" will probably win Ang Lee
Foreign Language haven't seen any of them so if I was a voter I would close my eyes and pick one
Adapted Screenplay want to win Tony Kushner and Eric Roth will probably win Larry McMurtry & Diana Ossana
Original Screenplay want to and will probably win Paul Haggis & Bobby Moresco
Original Score who cares? By default "Brokeback Mountain"
Original Song Again, who cares? Will win Dolly Parton for "travelin Thru"
Animated Feature will and should win Wallace and Gromit
Documentary Feature should win Murderball will probably win March Of The Peguins
