I just watched Joan Crawford walk into the ocean in
"Humoresque"--now she is getting ready to be the PERFECT wife in
"Harriet Craig"--probably her best performance. (6 PM EST--TCM now) I
am still laughing at her BIG number last night in "Torch Song" singing
and dancing in black face--even Carol Burnett's take off of Joan in
this movie wasn't as campy!!!
John approached e about selling
some coins he had on E-bay--we put up two listings on Saturday--one lot
(5 coins) sold for $200--now we are second guessing ourselves wondering
if we didn't put a high enough price on it--as I told John a bird in
the hand is worth 2 in the bush--at least he got money for coins that
have been sitting in his drawer doing nothing but collecting dust.
We
are going to put up a few more tonight and tomorrow and possibly
Wednesday so if you know anyone interested in Morgan silver dollars
tell them to check me out on e-bay under martind954--good deals to be
had.
After working on e-bay for awhile John, Gino and I went for
lunch at Rosie's--use to be part of the Hamburger Mary's chain--a fun
place--final cost came to $16 each including tip--I had a cheeseburger
with French Fries, John had a chicken salad and Gino a chicken salad
sandwich and 2 iced teas and a coffee--shouldn't think about it but
some of us could remember when for $16 you could get a great Prime rib
dinner!!
Okay, back to selling coins!!
